Lions was formed in 2015 to compete in the Siguatepeque League. The team was created not only to compete, but also to disciple and teach the Word of God to young people from surrounding villages, such as Socorro and Villa Alicia. The team now has several categories, including Under-9, Under-11, Under-13, Under-17, and Major League B. Schoolchildren and high school students have the privilege of being on the team.

The team trains once or twice a week after school. Before training, the coaches hold a short devotional with the players. Thanks to this practice, Leones has earned a good reputation during its participation in tournaments, But not only that, Leones is almost always among the top three teams in the tournament.

The coach and his players pray before each game. This behavior shows that they are there not only to play, but also to demonstrate God’s love through their actions. By doing so, they are making a difference on the field and impacting the people who watch them.
Since their first game, the Lions have made an impact on people and coaches from other teams. Coaches from all teams meet once a week to discuss the upcoming week. During these meetings, they often comment on how different the Lions are and how much they enjoy playing against them because of their competitiveness and how they act on the field. This sets them apart from all the other teams.
