They are not only provided with food, clothing and shelter, but also with education and job training, enabling them to provide for their own families in the future. Through training in the Word of God, they discover the personal hope they have in Jesus Christ and are prepared to return to their villages as leaders with a destiny of hope.

Volunteers – Marcia

13271768_10209154426399229_748185437_o We had our annual Missions Day in our junior high and high schools in mid May.   This year we were privileged to have a “real-live” missionary with us and it made a huge impact on our students.  Marcia Strauss was my roommate at Bryan College and served with SIM missions with her husband, Steve, for 20 years in Ethiopia.   It was great having her here with us to not only help the students understand what it is like to be a missionary and the special challenges they face, but also to spend quality time with my 26 children in the children’s home.
