Thank you for your continued prayer for Destino del Reino as we prepare for the beginning of a new school year. There is much preparation, support and prayer needed as we work on completing a building project prior to the beginning of school. Our goal is to be able to pour the foundation for the junior high school building and lay blocks by August! You may recall that back in April 2012, my college friend Jeff Armstrong, President of Baptist Life Association and Kingdom Quest Financial, provided a matching ministry grant of $1,000 towards the new construction. The response we received from our supporters was incredible, and we were able to raise more than $2,500 towards the building. Praise God! As you know, we have had several needs arise that had to be taken care of immediately, such as fixing our water well. While these have caused a temporary setback that delayed us in pouring the cement foundation, we know that God is our Great Provider. Just as Paul wrote to the church in Ephesus, we give all glory to God “who is able to do immeasurably more than all we ask or imagine, according to His power that is at work within us.” (Ephesians 3:20-21) Jeff Armstrong has learned of our need for additional funds in order to pour cement, and he has offered an additional $1,000 matching grant! Destino del Reino is a home where children are nurtured and loved and prepared for adulthood. They are not only provided with food, clothing and shelter, but also with education and job training, enabling them to provide for their own families in the future. Through training in the Word of God, they discover the personal hope they have in Jesus Christ and are prepared to return to their villages as leaders with a destiny of hope.
Destino del Reino, located 15 miles north of Siguatepeque, Honduras, provides the children with basic needs, bilingual education and spiritual knowledge, in an atmosphere of Christ-like, they are nurture, love and prepared. The facility consists a 2 family-styled house, two guest houses, a church, dental clinic, kindergarten elementary, junior and high school, and a lodge for pastoral training camps
